Aahh, Valentine's Day. The holiday of love. Tee-hee! You've got to love cutesy holidays that give us an excuse to change things up a bit in singing time! So, with love in mind, I went to Sugardoodle to see what Valentine's Day singing time ideas I could find. I loved the simplicity of using conversation hearts! With so many ways to use them, I figured I would just make a few so you can use them however you want! Here is the link to the Conversation Hearts. Use them in whatever creative ways you can think of!

I love your ideas! Where did you get your Clip Art for the Conversation Hearts?
ReplyDeleteFor the Jrs -- I am just having a bunch of hearts around the room and we will decorate a big valentine as we sing...
ReplyDeleteFor the Srs.... I am going to play a game I have termed "Broken Hearts". I have made hearts the size of 8.5 x 11 and cut them out, then zig zaged the middle to separate. On each half is part of the song -- and they will have to guess which two go together and we will sing them. All of the songs are about LOVE -- or have the word LOVE in them somewhere....
For example -- one half of the heart says: "A Place of" and the other half says "Of Love an Beauty" -- (I LOVE to see the temple!)
Love this, but wanted to change a few. What font did you use?
ReplyDeleteKaicie - I couldn't find any clipart, so I just created the hearts. Good clipart is so hard to come by sometimes!
ReplyDeleteAmy - I used a font called Courier New. I hope it's a standard one that you'll have!
Brittney, you always have cute ideas! Thank you so much for sharing! Would it be possible to post a couple plain hearts with no words? your hearts are so much cuter than other clipart i've found.
ReplyDeleteThese are really cute! How can I download the blank ones and save them to my computer? I can only download the ones with text, and the blank ones don't have an active Download option.
ReplyDeletestar,
ReplyDeleteSend me your email address and I will send you the PDF. A few other people have been having trouble with this one, and darned if I can figure it out. Shoot! technology confounds me sometimes! Sorry about the inconvenience!

I love this - thanks for all of the great ideas!
ReplyDeleteThey both downloaded and printed great for me! I use a MacBook Pro and did them on white card stock. Thanks! I really appreciate not having to 'reinvent the wheel' every Sunday for Primary. :)
ReplyDeleteI am also an Elementary School Music teacher. I may print a second set and laminate them as these would make great classroom decorations for the month of February. So, thanks again!!!
I used them, thank you! http://primarynotes29.blogspot.com/2013/01/i-pray-in-faith-valentines-version.html

ReplyDeleteThe links are not working again. Anyway you can email these? I actually used them 2 years ago and made the mistake of letting someone borrow them last year and never got them back. busch.amy@gmail.com
