Ahhh, it's finally done! Amazing how you can never find a solid hour to get anything done! I'm sorry to those of you who have been nudging me ever so politely to get this schedule updated and posted.
Here is the deal with the schedule...
1. In order to print it through Google Docs, you must be able to log into your Google account (aka gmail). If you log in, you won't have any problems downloading or printing any single thing on this blog. If you do not have a Google account, it's easy to create one.
2. If you choose not to log in through Google, you can email me for a PDF copy. I will try to send them out once a day, in one big batch. Please be patient with me, life is pretty hectic right now :)
3. In reference to the aforementioned "hectic" comment, I have opted to make the schedule generic - with no listed order for the songs like I've done in previous years. I went back and counted, and in 2013 I made over 70 versions of the schedule, with only a portion of those available on the blog. I would LOVE to help each of you make it work for your specific primary, but it's just not feasible this year. So, please don't be mad at me! Some of you might even like it better (I hope).
I think that's it. Good luck with your new year! A very special welcome to all of the new choristers that have been called, as this is a popular time of year to make changes. You're going to LOVE this calling! And to all of you that are moving on to different assignments, wasn't this the most fun you've ever had?! Nothing will ever quite compare!
Have a wonderful Christmas season, and an even better New Year! Love to you all!!!!

Thanks for creating these and making them available for all of us to use. You are so generous to share all of your wonderful ideas with us.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all your time and talent that you shared with me. Some of us,like me, aren't good with the computers so this would have taken me forever to do. I appreciate anything that you can give me. I think you did a great job. I used your schedule last year. It helped me tons. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing your time and computer skills with me. I think you did a great job. I used your schedule last year. It helped me a lot. This would have taken me forever to make. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for offering these! I love using them. Just to say thanks for sharing all of your ideas, here is one (I think I came up with this with some Heavenly help, but I could have read about it online and it was in my subconcious...:P)
ReplyDeleteTake 30 Jenga pieces and on 10, place and "A" sticker on the side, !0 a "B" and 10 a "C". Then, have 3 cups labeled A, B and C. I had the #'s of Articles of Faith songs were were working on. In the B cup, I put fun things like, the girls sing Popcorn Popping for the Boys and Stand in a corner and sing Head, Shoulders, etc. Then in C, I put different ways to sing the song we are practicing (lights off, staccato, MoTab style).
Then, they play Jenga. Whatever stick they pick, they pick something out of the corresponding cup. I didn;t have a plan for what would happen if it toppled over..., but it was really fun! Thanks again!
Such a fun idea! I'll bet the kids LOVED it :) Thanks for sharing!!
DeleteThank you so much for making this and sharing it!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your wonderful blog!! I would love to hear any ideas you have of how to help the pianist have a great experience with their calling. Any ideas to pull them out from behind the piano? Any ideas to help the calling be a spiritually-enriching and testimony-building one for them?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the ideas and sharing. I just thought I would let you know- on your 2014 singing time schedule you have the correct scripture written out, but on January and March you still have the reference for the scriptures from 2013 on those months and not the ones that go with the scriptures you typed up.
ReplyDeleteAck!!!! See????!!!! This is why I need you guys. Thanks for letting me know...I fixed that and uploaded a correct version for you. :)
DeleteThank you so much. Your hard work is much appreciated. I was just wondering if you would be able to save the 2014 singing time schedule as a word document so we could type our songs in it and be able to have an electronic version. If that won't work, I understand. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteThere are a few programs out there that you can download that will convert PDFs to Word docs. There is also a way to add text to a PDF through Adobe Reader, but I don't know much about it. I wish I could be more help! I'm so old fashioned I am still using my program from the 90's to create all my things!! Good luck :)
DeleteThanks for all of your ideas! Could you send me a pdf version when you have a second? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSuzie-send me your email and I'll get that over to you. :)
DeleteSO excited to find your blog! I just got called as Primary Chorister and know NOTHING about getting started. Thank you, thank you!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I found this! I used it last year and loved the format. Just wondering if you are going to be making a few different versions like last year; where you had opening song, birthday song, closing song, etc.?
ReplyDeleteValerie - to make things easier, I am only doing the blank version this year. There are just too many variations to get them all done! I hope it still works for you :)
DeleteYes, I figured that I could put my own in, last year I found a variation that was close, but not exact for me anyway. I know you had about a million that you ended up doing last year. This is fabulous! Thanks.
DeleteI truly appreciate your "generic" schedules and I think they are the best ones I have seen. Thank you for your time and effort in putting these together!~
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome... I just use an omni office organizer!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your amazing and awesome blog. I was just called as the primary chorister in my ward, which is totally out of my comfort zone. This schedule is such a great help in my preparation. Thank you!
