If I Listen With My Heart - Poster

To teach this song, I took my flipchart and blew it up to poster size so all of the kids could see it.  You can download the graphics here, if you would like to use them...click HERE to see pictures of the completed posters.

Verse 1
Verse 2
Verse 3

Today we finished going through verses 2 and 3.  I went to the dollar store and got some heart shaped "table scatter."  I gave each child a heart and had them raise it up each time they heard a listening word or the word heart.  I want to try and get them to understand the importance of listening, so I think that helped get them focused on the words a little bit more.  I love visuals, but I want to wean them off of the posters as soon as possible.  So next week we'll pull out the "blobs" and have them start covering up parts of the poster until they can sing all three verses from memory.  Then we'll start playing some games!

I hope all of you are having success with this song!

  1. hi Brittney! Great job yesterday and love your blog! Do you have the copies for the visuals you used yesterday for Follow the prophet? I loved those-what a great way to not have to sing the entire song and to avoid fighting over who gets to choose which verses to sing. if you have the copies, i'd love to get them. Thanks! Darcy
