Here is a little bit of ear-candy for you. We got this CD a couple of days ago, and it's been on repeat ever since then. My kids (ages 6 &3) are singing along, dancing, and have learned every word to every one of these songs!
What a FUN way to have the primary songs playing. I love that they all sound like songs that are currently on the radio (Colby Caillet, C-Lo Green, Miley Cyrus), but they are actually songs with an uplifting message. Talk about keeping up with the times!
Now, I understand that this type of thing isn't for everyone. But if it's your speed, it's definitely worth the investment. You can buy it at Deseret Book, Amazon, and probably a hundred other places if you Google it. Here is the only preview I could find online...
The remix of "I Hope They Call Me On a Mission" is AWESOME! Complete with a little bit of rap. You gotta love it!
Let me know what you think! Do any of you already have this CD? How do you like it?

I just came across your blog today and I am so excited! It is full of fresh fun ideas. I think this CD sounds like s blast, but I am 57 years old and haven't grown up yet and don't plan to anytime in the near future. I will definitely be getting it. I have never heard of it before so thank you for sharing. I am excited to try out your ideas. I have had some back trouble and been out of Primary for a few months and just started back last Sunday. Your ideas are really going to help me out! Thank you! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is only 1 but I'll be buying this one now! I love it. How fun to listen to primary songs that sound like other songs on the radio!
ReplyDeleteThis link has 30 second clips of each of the songs... I think I might be getting this for my kids.

ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! My five year old daughter loves to "exercise" as she likes to call it to up beat music, so this will be perfect.
